Your detailed quote will cover all areas, including surface preparation, minor maintenance, finish application, pricing, and other important details. No surprises—ever.

We inspect thoroughly to ensure perfection. We don’t request payment until the job is to your expectations.

All Elite Trade Painting franchises have full liability insurance and worker’s compensation coverage. Your property is protected throughout the process.

Your painting job is under warranty for three years. Less than 1% of our jobs require warranty work—that’s the Elite difference. However, if your job needs service, we’ll do it promptly and thoroughly. We stand behind our warranty.

Warranty

3 – year Warranty on all applicable workmanship for Exterior and Interior work

• The Exterior and Interior Painting warranty is for a period of three years from the date of completion against cracking and peeling resulting from our workmanship.
• DOES NOT WARRANT WALKED ON SURFACES (ie decks) and/or horizontal surfaces (ie tops of fences and/or window sills) due to moisture and wear issues.
• DOES NOT WARRANT INTER-COAT ADHESION due to previous coatings that are not bonded properly and/or smooth cedar resulting in BUBBLES from curing and inter-coat adhesion.
• We will only fix the specific areas that have failed.
• Our warranty is for labour only. The client will supply paint, primer and any materials required to facilitate the necessary repairs.
• We will only repair in accordance with the description of the original work.
• Warranty work will be completed as soon as possible after notification of the problem. For the best service for exterior warranty, notification for exterior work should take place before April 30 in order for the work to be completed in the upcoming exterior season.
• This warranty is not transferable to another individual or corporation.
• The contractor, in some circumstances, and in its sole discretion, may choose to provide a cash value for any valid warranty claims. This value will be determined based on the percentage of job failure and the actual cost of the job at the time the work was completed.
• The independent franchise contractor may choose to extend a warranty in writing outside of these standard warranty conditions. Verbal warranties do not apply and only signed and dated written warranties outside of this standard agreement shall be recognized.

This Warranty does not cover:

• Roof leaks, structural damage, bursting pipes, construction failures, ice dams and any other structural deficiency.
• All metal surfaces (galvanized metal, powder-coated aluminum, steel railings, garage doors, etc.) and /or plastic surfaces.
• Mould or fungus that results from environmental causes.
• Areas that are walked on such as porches, steps, balconies, verandas, decks, floors and other walked-on structures.
• All areas attached to porches, steps, balconies, verandas, decks, floors and other walked-on structures including, but not limited to, areas such as rails, posts, pillars and lattice.
• Work not paid for in full or not paid on a timely basis. Timely is here defined as work not paid within thirty days from the date of completion.
• Areas specifically stated within communications as impossible to warranty
• Baked-on finishes that customer requests to be refinished.
• Fading in exterior paint
• Substances bleeding through the paint.
• Varnished surfaces.
• Work for which customer supplies paint
• Work subcontracted and / or worked on by any other individual or contractor.
• Vinyl wall covering and wallpapering.
• Fences. Any exterior surfaces not protected by the roof of the house (fences, pergolas, planter boxes, patio furniture, etc.).
• Interior or exterior furniture painted, stained or varnished.
• Areas that have a moisture problem and / or areas where moisture pools on the surface. This specifically includes (but is not limited to) windows (areas where water pools) and windowsills.
• Any work performed where a client has specifically requested scraping and painting without a primer application.
• Inter-Coat Adhesion issues: Prior coat breaking down underneath our coat of paint includes bubbles and blisters caused by inter-coat adhesion problems.
  • Substrate failure: the entire coating (paint and primer) peels away from the surface. This is the typical kind of failure on smooth cedar siding. It is exacerbated by heat, therefore is more common when changing from a light colour to a dark colour. It also can be caused by over sanding of old / brittle coatings, which generates heat, and creates spot failures on edges of previous bare spots. Modern, high adhesion acrylic coatings shrink and tighten as they cure, creating surface tension and pulling the coating / coatings below them away from the substrate. No amount of surface preparation can improve the bond between the substrate and the base coating.
• This warranty does not cover unfinished work. It is the responsibility of the independent franchise contractor and the client to ensure that all work is completed prior to the conclusion and payment
• This warranty does not cover any damage to a client’s property.

Vinyl Siding Painting Warranty

• We warrant that our workmanship for vinyl siding painting will be free from defects such as cracking, peeling, blistering, and separation at joints that expose the original colour, for the applicable warranty period.
• Due to the nature of vinyl siding as a material, this warranty does not extend to warping or wrinkling that may occur after the coating has been applied.

Important Information Regarding Vinyl Siding Painting

Painting vinyl siding using manufacturer-approved vinyl-safe colours is generally very successful. However, certain types of siding may present a higher risk of movement or distortion after painting. These may include, but are not limited to:

• Older or thinner-gauge vinyl siding
• Siding with wider profiles (typically 8 inches or greater)
• Siding that has been improperly installed or lacks adequate allowance for expansion and contraction

In such cases, warping or wrinkling may occur despite proper preparation and application.

To ensure eligibility for applicable paint manufacturer warranties, all colours must be selected from the vinyl-safe colour palettes specified by the paint manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties are separate from our workmanship warranty and are subject to the terms and conditions provided by the respective manufacturer.
