Exterior Residential Semi Stain – Riverdale
This exterior project took place in Edmonton’s Riverdale neighborhood, where mature homes and established trees create a lot of character and a lot of wear on exterior wood. The goal was to fully restore and protect the home’s woodwork from roofline to ground level with a rich, natural semi‑transparent finish.
Our Edmonton exterior team completed a full wood restoration that included:
- Fascia and soffits
- Window casings and trim
- Exterior pillars and beams
- Lower posts and supports
All exposed wood was cleaned, prepared, and finished with a two‑coat Cetol system, chosen for its warm, natural look and long‑lasting protection. As part of the scope, we also washed and refinished the red cedar shakes, bringing back their depth of color and grain while adding another layer of weather resistance.
Because of the height and complexity of the home, we supplied and assembled full scaffolding on both sides of the house. This allowed our crews to access upper‑level fascia, soffits, beams, and shakes safely and effectively, and to maintain a consistent finish across all visible surfaces.
From the upper roofline details down to the lower posts and supports, this project restores and protects the home’s exterior woodwork, leaving it looking refreshed and ready for many more seasons of Edmonton weather.
