Why Book Your Exterior Painting Early in Calgary

Why Book Your Exterior Painting Early in Calgary

It’s March. The snow is finally starting to melt and spring is just around the corner, albeit after another cold snap or big snowfall. For a lot of people, this might seem like a little too early in the year to start thinking about your springtime to-do list. For painting contractors, however, February and March are among the busiest months of the year as we prepare for the exterior painting season.

It might surprise you to learn that right now is the perfect time to start thinking about booking your exterior paint job.

Why Book Early?

The Calgary exterior painting season is incredibly busy for painting contractors. As the summer months approach, jobs will begin to mount. In a normal year, we could see something 2-3 times as many jobs when compared to the winter months.

That increased workload means we bring on more painters to cover more jobs. However, even with the added help it is difficult to keep up with demand.

While we do our absolute best to keep up and accommodate our customers’ busy schedules, the short and warm exterior season can make that extremely difficult.

So, if you’re planning on getting the exterior of your home or office painted this spring, how do you make sure that you can get it done on your schedule?

The simplest answer is to book your exterior painting project before the season even begins. We can quote your project anytime and schedule it once the weather turns. This means that once the weather warms up and real spring arrives, your project will be among the first we schedule.

You’ll also guarantee that your project will be completed this summer and you won’t have to worry about the weather turning ugly towards the end of the season.

Why paint your home’s exterior?

Exterior painting has other benefits beyond making your home look brand new again. Your siding faces punishment on a near-daily basis. Everything from harmful UVA and UVB rays, extreme cold temperatures, sometimes extreme heat, rain, snow, sleet and the occasional hailstorm.

If left unaddressed, over time your siding will become discoloured, scratched and beat up, leaving your home looking old or run down. Wood siding can warp, split or — worst case scenario — become infested with insects.

Painting these surfaces can help protect them from the weather and other harmful environmental factors, keeping your home looking its best for years to come.

Our Exterior Painting Process

How do we go about painting your home’s exterior.

We’ll start by thoroughly inspecting your siding to make sure there are no underlying issues that need to be addressed before we begin the painting process.

Next, we’ll power wash all surfaces to be painted, tape any soffits and scrape and sand the painting surface to make sure that we have the cleanest possible surface for the paint to grab on to.

Next, we’ll caulk any missing or loose pieces of siding and prime the surface so that your paint looks its absolute best when we put the final coat on.

Finally, we’ll apply the finish coats. Our exterior painting process is incredibly thorough and you’ll end up with a great-looking finished product.

Plus, after we’re done, we’ll also make sure that the outside of your house is just as immaculate as when we arrived.

We don’t just do residential and commercial exteriors during the spring. At Elite Trade Painting- Calgary, we also do exterior fences, decks and doors.

We’re also experienced in painting a wide variety of exterior siding materials including wood, aluminum and vinyl siding, stucco and brickwork and masonry. So, no matter what your home’s exterior looks like we’ll be able to bring our Elite level of experience to your project.
